How to present yourself to land that job

How we present ourselves is one the most important elements to landing a job, but it’s one of the last things we think about before interviewing.  Professional actress and marketing guru Lorraine Montez will lead an interactive workshop where we’ll learn how to present with confidence and actually enjoy the interview process. Hands-on practice in a safe, fun, informative environment will be an integral part of the training. 

 

Seem like it's been awhile since the last career circle?

That's because it has!  We took a break for December due to inclement weather and to allow time for eating holiday cookies.

But in January we're starting again!

Jackie Wolfe is a Senior HR Professional and Certified Career Coach.  She’ll lead an exciting workshop on how to redefine ourselves and our careers during a bad economy. She’s found that this is often the best time to do so!  The workshop will be filled with tips and tools, as well as interactive exercises to help guide and motivate us to take big steps in our careers.

If you’re familiar with those loud voices inside that occasionally rage at you “I am not smart enough”, “I am a fake”, “I can’t be a leader here, its not my style”, “I should be better at this”… then come to this session!  We’ll discuss that critic, why and when it might show up, and some ways to manage it in order to become more powerful.

Building trust and confidence

Nothing impedes performance as much as lack of self confidence and lack of trust in yourself and others. This large group is about how to overcome fear and take the risks necessary to build confidence and instill trust.

This is a fun, interactive, experiential workshop in which participants not only acquire new skills and tools but also learn to shift their mindset--the lens through which they see and think.
